Treasure Skills are a really good way in Fate of The Empress to customize your heroes and give them that edge that will help your team work even better!

18. Hidden Needle

ree

Grade: A

Minimum Viability: Good

What: When attacked, has a 30% chance to reduce the atk of the attacker by 15/10/6/4% for one round.

Hidden Needle is a pretty good ability that can fit on nearly anyone. Not much to say about it, it has a chance to decrease atk of an attacker for one round. Can really neuter a strong attacker sometimes.

  • Who: Any good stat roll can use this.

  • When: When you get a good stat roll.

  • Strengths: If it procs and drops atk by 10% you’ve made a significant decrease to their might for a round.

  • Weaknesses: It’s not super consistent at 30%. When it works it’s great but sometimes it just won’t trigger on the right attacker.

19. Broken Spear

ree

Grade: C

Minimum Viability: Good

What: Wielder deals 30/20/13/8% extra dmg to Guards.

Broken Spear is a dmg increase against Guards. Weakest one, in my opinion. Guards are pretty squishy to begin with, and hitting them harder will often not be what’s required if they’re withstanding your attacks. Polish it out, I’d say.

  • Who: Nobody, if you can help it.

  • When: It’s fine if everything else is really good (other skill and stat rolls).

  • Strengths: Lets you hit Guards harder.

  • Weaknesses: If your issue is being able to kill Guards, this skill isn’t really gonna help.

20. Refilled Energy

ree

Grade: A

Minimum Viability: Meh

What: Increases healing received by 60/40/26/16% when hp is below 30%

Refilled Energy is a good survivability skill. Nothing to write home about. It can be combo’d with pets or skills to become more potent, like Brave Kitty or leech effect skills.

  • Who: Sun Ce, Huo Qubing, MC Scholar, anyone who can heal, anyone on a team with a healer.

  • When: When you want to be able to heal back up a hero quickly after they take some big damage.

  • Strengths: Helps keep your heroes alive.

  • Weaknesses: It isn’t really that great on its own. It needs to be paired with actual healing to be effective.

21. Ruinous Wrath

ree

Grade: SSS

Minimum Viability: Good

What: 25/25/12/6% chance to increase an additional 30/20/20/20 rage for the wearer.

Ruinous Wrath is awesome. It can help get those rage skills happening more quickly. If you know anything about the power of Ji Kang and Ying Zheng, you know how great rage generation is. Versatile and powerful effect. This trigger happens on normal beginning-of-round rage generation.

  • Who: Anyone with a rage skill you want to use early and/or frequently. Daji, MC Doc, MC Guard, Guiguzi, Mozi, Zhan Zhao, Zhou Yun, Wu Zetian are all excellent choices

  • When: When you want to do rage skills more often and earlier.

  • Strengths: Doing rage skills earlier is amazing.

  • Weaknesses: It has a chance to trigger, which means there’s extra variance for this skill. Sometimes you won’t trigger it and it will be useless. But this shouldn't scare you away from using it.

22. Destructive Trap

ree

Grade: A

Minimum Viability: Meh

What: Wielder deals 30/20/13/8% more dmg to targets under control effects.

Destructive Trap has a really great dmg boost to it, but requires the target to be under a control effect. In this meta that’s now always super easy with Zhuang Zhou running around, being Zhuang Zhou. Requires setup, and becomes more effective the more control you have on your squad (think Fresh Vigor team).

  • Who: Any big dmg unit.

    • A good example team would be:

      • MC Doc (Fresh Vigor)

      • Guiguzi (Fresh Vigor)

      • Daji (Fresh Vigor)

      • Ying Zheng (Fresh Vigor)

      • Zhuang Zhou

      • Zhan Zhao (Destructive Trap)

  • When: When you have a lot of control on your team.

  • Strengths: Big, big dmg increase.

  • Weaknesses: Requires setup and a tighter team structure.

23. Hard Journey

ree

Grade: S

Minimum Viability: Good

What: Wielder deals 30/20/13/8% extra dmg to Scholars.

Hard Journey is another Class-specific dmg skill, this time targeting Scholars. This is better than Broken Spear because Scholars tend to be a lot tankier than Guards do. Breaking through defensive Mozi and MC Alpha Scholar is a lot easier when you’ve got a damage dealer armed with this skill.

  • Who: Whoever you want killing Scholars. MC Guard, Zhan Zhao, Lyu Bu, Prince Gao, Sun Ce, Li Bai, Mozi, MC Alpha Scholar would all love this skill.

  • When: When you’ve got a great roll on a damage dealer’s stats and have died to way too many tough Mozis.

  • Strengths: Hits Scholars harder.

  • Weaknesses: Only gives dmg increase against Scholars.
