Updated by: Not A Snack Last update: 2023, September 12th Treasure Skills are a really good way in Fate of The Empress to customize your heroes and give them that edge that will help your team work even better!
I’ll do the usual thing where I grade the ability, discuss its uses, when to use it, who to use it on, etc. I may be missing some specific data on rarities but I will fill those in as I do more polishes. Things to note:
Treasure skills come in four rarities:
Crappy - Very few of these are ever worth keeping.
Meh - Some of these can be worth keeping.
Good - Aim for the yellows ones because these are mostly going to be the best you can get
Best - The best of the best, locked behind fabled treasures though.
Each treasure can have up to two skills on them
Skills show up on weapons randomly when increasing their tier. You usually will get an ability some time between tiers 1 and 3, maybe even both abilities!
You will always have two skills on a treasure that is tier 5
Treasures require becoming more Polish to change their stats and skills.
For this you need Treasure Polish Stones
To lock stat attributes you need Treasure Polish Locks
You cannot lock a skill
It takes 5 stones and 1-2 locks per attempt at making it more Polish.
You cannot gain or lose the number of abilities or stats on a treasure.
This means you won’t all the sudden get a second ability on a polish or lose an attribute.
Don’t save polishes you’ve done after tierup, they won’t work.
Focus on attributes first, lock them, *then* focus on skills.
You unlock treasure polish when either you hit lvl 125 or have a tier 4 weapon
Explanation of Terms:
[Name of skill]
Grade: G/C/B/A/S/SS/SSS
Minimum Viability: Crappy/Meh /Good/Best
What: what it does
The explanation goes here. I will discuss my thoughts on the above. The grade ranges from G (garbage) to SSS (god tier). The Minimum Viability is the lowest rarity that fits into the grade.
Who: Who does it go on?
When: When would you use it?
Strengths: Whysit good?
Weaknesses: How is it countered? What can’t it do?
1. Strong Unity

Strong Unity
Grade: SSS
Minimum Viability: Crappy
What: Casts a shield for all allies that absorbs 70/48/30/20% of atk for the first two rounds.
Strong Unity is probably the single best treasure skill in the game. It puts a shield on your whole team at the beginning of battle equal to a certain % of the wielder’s atk stat. This is pretty much the only must-have treasure skill. From what I currently understand, the ability stacks, so multiple shields can be popped up at the beginning of the battle. Not sure how the damage works on it but it’s a useful thing to note. Having this skill proteccs your weakest members and gives you time to set up against nukes. Have it on a nuke with extremely high atk yourself and it’s a really, really strong shield.
Snack's updates: They DO NOT stack. Treasure skills don't stack, if you have multiples of the same skill, the highest tier will be used.
Who: Anyone, preferably with high atk.
When: Whenever. Seriously, this skill is highly versatile and always useful.
Strengths: Well it mitigates anywhere from 20 to 70% of the user’s atk stat for up to two rounds so I guess it’s main strength is that it’s amazing.
Weaknesses: The shield can be stripped by buff strippers like Li Bai, Zhan Zhao and Song Yu
Alpha Doc can strip on rage
It’s so good you may be blinded by all the shields on your side. So if you use manual and can’t see what you’re doing because of all the big, beautiful shields, you might misclick and accidentally win in a totally different way than you planned to.
2. Secret Path

Grade: S
Minimum Viability: Meh
What: Decreases the def of 2 enemies by 27/18/12/7 for the first three rounds.
Secret Path is sweet. You can put it on healers and give them offensive support viability just by standing there, adding some dimensionality to their kits. It’s a skill that you can get on just about anyone and appreciate, especially if you can get your hands on the fabled version. A def drop like that is a spoonful of black hole level might density. Enemies with high def, especially when fighting much higher might foes, can be a real thorn in the side of your offensive units. A high dmg stat does little when you can’t break their defenses at all. Soften them up with some Secret Path sauce and hammer away!
Who: Low damage support/tank units like Daji and Wu Zetian and no damage healers like Daiochan and Zhuang Zhou really appreciate this skill. It’s great to land on because of all the purely offensive skills showing up (Devil’s Whisper loves to show up on my ZZ lmao) you can be happy with a good stat roll and this ability.
When: When you need that extra def down against competitive teams.
Strengths: Softens up baddies for you to blast away with your righteous power.
Weaknesses: It doesn’t do anything directly for the wielder. You are essentially giving up a slot that could’ve been used for extra sustain or, yknow, Strong Unity
3. Gentle Mizzle

Grade: S
Minimum Viability: Meh
What: Increases healing effect by [LOL]/25/16/10%
Gentle Mizzle isn’t exactly bad, per se, it’s AWESOME. It increases incoming and outgoing healing by that much percent. It’s strong in this meta where heals are super important. just very middling. If you're scaling your healer correctly you probably don’t need a whole bunch of extra healing. If that’s even how it works. I’ve been wrong about these vague skill descriptions in the past. It could very well be an increased incoming heal, but given there’s other skills that do the same thing and are worded differently I really think this just increases output heals. But again, wtf knows until it is tested lol.
Who: idk, healers? Liu Shan and Wang Zhaojun come to mind, could help mitigate their obnoxious need for atk.
When: When they need to heal more?
Strengths: I guess if it does what I assume it does, then it will help you save precious atk gems for heroes who need to hit things with that atk if you’re running SSR healers.
Weaknesses: wtf does this even do? And if it does what I think it does it’s so niche why would you really ever need it over a better skill?
4. Joyful Sorrow

Grade: A
Minimum Viability: Good
What: Stacking dmg buff of 7.5/5/3/2% for each enemy defeated. Max stack 5.
Joyful Sorrow is when you are super happy about being really sad. So I guess this skill is just being super emo at your enemies? Either way, it’s an ok skill. The extra dmg is nice as it ramps up toward the end of the battle, but sometimes it just isn’t enough and by the time you get the dmg buff the big threats you needed it on are gone or controlled. There are just better skills, but if you’re short on polish stones and/or locks, this can go just fine on a damage dealer.
Who: Aoe damage dealers are the best option, single tarket nukes are the second-best option. Mozi, Li Qingzhao and MC Scholar can put this to good use. Closers like Prince Gao like this skill, as well.
As with other offensive skills, this is entirely useless on dedicated healers.
When: You use this when you get a really really good stat roll on an offensive hero and this is one of the skills.
Strengths: dmg increase is a really really good stat.
Weaknesses: Requires enemies you normally need the dmg increase for to be defeated to get the dmg increase.
5. Bronze Wall

Grade: SS
Minimum Viability: Good
What: 40% chance to reflect 22/15/10/6% of dmg (capped at 260/180/120/80% of wielder’s atk) when attacked.
Bronze Wall is one of those skills that scales really well. It reflects some damage but can go beyond the user’s atk stat to reflect way more. So if you’re getting hit for 50billion damage by a Cascade Manor enemy the reflect will be able to hit harder than you’d normally be able to hit.
Who: Anyone that has a decent amount of atk.
So basically anyone not named Zhuang Zhou or Daiochan
When: This is a really good skill for anyone to have on them. So any really nice stat roll with this skill should be considered. The reflects really add up.
Strengths: Reflecting a bunch of damage that scales with the attacker is really, really strong. You can get hilarious glitch effects, too, like when a Li Bai dies hitting you and just stands there in front of you for a while.
Weaknesses: This skill is limited by the hero’s own atk stat and units who hit many times for less% of atk
