Treasure Skills are a really good way in Fate of The Empress to customize your heroes and give them that edge that will help your team work even better!
6. Silent Calm

Grade: SSS
Minimum Viability: Crappy
What: When under 50% hp, triggers a shield that absorbs 210/140/90/56% of atk for three rounds.
Silent Calm is like a reverse Vixen, almost. When the wielder’s hp dips below half, a shield made up of a percentage of their atk will pop up, making them much harder to kill and giving them a lot of breathing room and time for restoration from your support units.
Who: Anyone. Preferably someone who has high atk and you lower defenses, like Zhan Zhao or Prince Gao
When: All the time. It’s an extremely versatile skill.
Strengths: It’s a big fat shield that can keep your heaviest hitters alive long enough to hit heavy.
Weaknesses: It can be dispelled and if you get oneshot you aren’t going to be needing any shields, lol.
7. Feverish Brilliance

Grade: SSS
Minimum Viability: Good
What: Mitigates 38/25/16/10% of dmg dealt to hero by Scholars.
Feverish Brilliance is a fantastic skill to use to protect against some of the hardest-hitting heroes in the game. Mozi, Li Bai, MC Scholar, Li Qingzhao can all hit really hard, and mitigating upwards of 38% of that damage is going to benefit whoever is using it immensely.
Who: Any hero you need to survive a big scholar onslaught. Zhan Zhao, Zhuang Zhou, Prince Gao, MC Guard are all good choices, though the squishier ones still need other mitigation support.
When: You’re having trouble with enemy scholars, most likely if your division has a billion Mozis in it.
Strengths: At epic you get a 25% dmg reduction against Scholars. This is huge. Damage reduction happens after all the other stuff is calculated so whatever is left after atk gets reduced by def and dmg increase percent has been calculated. At least this is my theory. Which is basically how dmg reduction works in literally every other game ever made.
Weaknesses: Well heroes that aren’t scholars aren’t affected by this mitigation.
8. Brave Fight

Grade: B
Minimum Viability: Good
What: Increase crit rate by 35/25/16/10% when hp is below 30%
Brave Fight isn’t all that great. This might be a controversial opinion, but there aren’t a whole lot of uses for this outside of some niche strategies. It’s nice to get a massive crit buff based on percentage and not whatever the weird rating number they use is, which most likely means it is calculated after the base crit is calculated. This skill *needs* to be paired with a skill like True Perseverance or Silent Calm to really get the best effect from it. With a pet like Peacock or Chinchilla. A nice combination to make this skill really work will be in the Who section.
Who: Here is an example of a setup I’d use this skill with:
Sun Ce
Peacock
atk/crit/dmg+/hp gems/crystal/stat priority
True Perseverance
(Or Devil’s Whisper)
(Or Silent Calm)
(Or Refilled Energy)
Brave Fight
When: The kind of above case where you can protecc your hero when their hp is low so they can get some mega crits off.
Strengths: It’s a crit percentage boost, which is way, way better than a crit rating boost.
*UNTESTED* I want to find a way to test if this boost is mitigated by res or not.
Weaknesses: I mean, you should already have high crit on any hero that has this, which makes this kind of a niche/gimmicky skill. You can do fun goofy stuff with it like above, but really, there are better skills.
9. Selfless Spirit

Grade: SS
Minimum Viability: Crappy
What: 20% chance to heal the ally with the lowest hp by 9/6/4/2% of the wielder’s max hp
Selfless Spirit is so freakin good for hp-based healers, high hp damage dealers, support heroes, and, uh, well just anyone with high hp. 6% might seem sucky until you realize your highest hp heroes should have around 1.75-2x your other heroes’ hp. Let’s say you’re running Jia Baoyu supporting Prince Gao. You min-max these units correctly so Jia has 1.2mil hp and Gao has 700k. Every time Jia gets hit he has a 20% chance to heal Gao for 72k hp. This is pretty significant when you think about what percentage of hp Gao has. That’s a 10% hp heal for Prince Gao.
Who: Anyone with loads of hp.
When: This is a great skill to take for any reason. If you can get it on a high hp hero and the stats are at least ok, definitely keep it.
Strengths: See the above example for how strong this heal can be.
Weaknesses: If the hero you run has this but their hp is low, you aren’t getting much of a heal at all. It might be ok but here are way better choices.
10. Polished Sword

Grade: SSS
Minimum Viability: Meh
What: Mitigates 38/25/16/10% of dmg dealt to hero by Scholars.
Polished Sword is the other best class-specific mitigation skill. It mitigates dmg from some of the hardest-hitting heroes in the game. Alpha MC Guard, Prince Gao, and Zhan Zhao hit incredibly hard when built right and skills like this can help out a lot.
Who: Anyone who you don’t want getting obliterated by strong Guards.
When: When you don’t want to die to Guards.
Strengths: It mitigates a lot of dmg from Guards, who have some extremely hard hitting heroes.
Weaknesses: It doesn’t protect your hero from heavy hitter Scholars, like Mozi.
11. Precise Strike

Grade: SS
Minimum Viability: Meh
What: 75% chance to put a debuff on an enemy for one round that increases their damage taken by 30/20/13/8%
Precise Strike is very similar to Secret Path but with a few important differences. It doesn’t tag three enemies but it does give a better debuff. Remember how dmg taken increase happens after other calculations? In most cases you want to do more damage, unless their defense is extremely high.
Who: Any hero can use this to apply the debuff, so support heroes like Ying Zheng or Wu Zetian are best wielders.
When: When you wanna make enemies take more damage.
Strengths: Forcing an enemy to take more dmg doesn’t care about def or atk, just the dmg stat going through. And it works for all allies attacking the target.
Weaknesses: If they have oodles of def increased dmg is going to be low anyway.
