[LATEST] Fate of The Empress Guide: Handmade Joy - How to utilize your labor

After all those jades and ingots they ate from you, finally now is the chance for you to take everything back. "Handmade Joy" is one of those rare F2P-friendly events in Fate of The Empress. It's an event that even if you don't spend, you still have a chance to be No.1, and even if you spend, it still won't help you to rank better.

Sound tempting? Then this guide will help you understand how to make your heirs work like slaves and get the best ranking.

I. Date and time

Event Duration: 10 days, starting at 10am on 1st day

Ranking Display: 3 days

Curfew time:

00:00 - 06:00, Handmade Events and Entrusted Events will be paused.

22:00 - 06:00, No Surprised Events will be triggered.

II. Basic Gameplay (Read if this is your 1st time)

Ok so this event seems be very complicated and there are many things to do as well as to remember. However I will guide you step by step, so let's learn about the basic gameplay first.

When you enter the event, you will notice there're 4 tabs:

• Joy Shop: Where you buy rewards and materials

• Joy Storage: Where you store the materials you bought

• Assignment: The main tab where will you do most of every activities of this event

• Childhood Fun: Where you can re-watch all the cutscene and see the badges

Ok now let's get to the main business. Enter "Assignment" tab.

Here you will see the 2 main tabs that you need to care about now: Handmade Event and Entrusted Event.

I will explain about Entrusted Event first so that it will be easier to understand. There are many Entrusted Events, but there are 4 things that you need to note, which I highlight below.

• Duration: This is the duration period that you need to wait until the heirs finish the task and you can collect the earning

• Earning: The rewards you will earn when the heirs finish the task. There will be Joy Fund and Workshop EXP. Joy Fund is used to buy in Joy Shop. Workshop EXP is used to level up Workshop and increase potential. (See "III. Workshop Level and Potentials" section)

• Potential Buff: This will increase Joy Fund and Workshop EXP you will earn. To increase the % of buff, you need to increase Potential in Workshop. (See "III. Workshop Level and Potentials" section)

• Cost: The items you will need to be able to start the task. There are 8 kinds of items: Ink Bell, Bravery Bell, Grace Bell, Joy Bell, Ink Doll, Bravery Doll, Grace Doll, Joy Doll.

Ok, then now you will start asking the next question: "How can I get the items Doll and Bell?"

This is when you will need to look at the "Handmade Event". Let's go to the tab next to "Entrusted Event".

You will see there are 8 events that can produce the 8 corresponding items that I mentioned above. And similar, there are 4 things you need to note too.

• Duration: Same as above

• Earning: Same as above. Use this as the input to do the Entrusted Event

• Potential Buff: Same as above

• Cost: The materials you will need to be able to start the task. There are 3 kinds of materials: Toy Lock (Required to make bells), Toy Block (Required to make dolls), Cloth (Ink Cloth, Bravery Cloth, Grace Cloth, Joy Cloth, depends on which Doll or Bell you make)

Now you already understand how to do Handmade event. But then you may now wonder "Then how do I get Toy Lock, Toy Block, and Cloth?".

It's time to visit Joy Shop.

In Joy Shop, you will see the Optional Toy Pack and Cloth Pack, which will allow you to choose the specific materials you want. However, you won't be able to buy them until Workshop Level 3, and they have limited amounts too.

So your whole fate will need to rely on this "Random Material Pack", which will give you... random things...

Go to Joy Storage to open them. And you will always lack of Joy Cloth but it will be the last thing you can get from this random pack.

Ok, so now you already understand the basic steps to play this event:

=> Buy Material Pack using Joy Fund in Shop

=> Do Handmade Event to get Dolls and Bells

=> Do Entrusted Event to get Joy Fund and Workshop EXP

=> Return to Shop

You also can get more Joy Fund by completing Daily Quests and Event Quests.

Everyday 00:00 - 06:00, Handmade Events and Entrusted Events will be paused.

And that's the basic. But it won't be enough to get you ranked high. So continue to read this guide.

III. Workshop Level and Potentials

Understanding how to play the event won't help you to get the high ranking. Now if you already get familiar with the gameplay, let's look at some strategies.

IIIa. Workshop Level

When you complete the Entrusted Event, beside Joy Fund, you will earn the Workshop EXP. Level up your Workshop will help you:

• Unlock more items in Joy Shop

• Unlock more functions

• Get more Potentials

• More slots to assign tasks to heirs - Unlock at Level 2

• Unlock the 3rd heir (Borrow heir from your friends and guildies to help) - Unlock at Level 3

So in the first few days, your prioritized goal is reaching Workshop Level 3 as fast as possible. This will be the huge advantage as you will have 1 more labour to help you.

IIIb. Potentials

Press on "Distribute", this will allow you to increase some stats and benefits.

There will be 2 types of Potentials: Heir Potentials and Workshop Potentials.

For Heir Potentials, prioritize level up the Queues as soon as possible, this will help you have more slots to assign tasks. For other stats, eventually you will need all 4 but in beginning, prioritize Grace and Joy stats, see section "VII. Tips and Tricks to get High ranking" for explanation.

For Workshop Potentials, prioritize increase daily boost chances (See section "IV. Boost Chances, Surprise Events, Flash Buffs" for explanation), increase EXP earnings and decrease the price of materials (Cut the cost and increase the profit, they said).

Also, this is just my assumption but the initial stats of each heir seem depend on their actual stats (Military, Literature, etc.). Because I notice different heirs have different initial Ink, Bravery, Grace, Joy stats.

IV. Boost Chances, Surprise Events, Flash Buffs - The Joker cards

Why I put these 3 things into 1 section? Because they are not main activities of the event, but they are the Joker cards that can give you surprise benefits over some players who did all the same things above like you did.

IVa. Boost Chances

When you do Entrusted Event, you may notice the tiny arrow next to it. Press on it and you will have a Boost, which means a 2-hour task can just be done in a blink. Immediate money hohoho.

Don't boost too early in the day. If you estimate your Workshop Level and see that you can up to higher level and unlock more advanced Entrusted Events in evening, spend your day to make bells and dolls and slowly level up. When you unlock higher events, which gives more Joy Fund and EXP, at night already, now time to boost and get rich fast hohohoho.

The Boost Chances will be reset everyday. You will start with 5 chances/day and can increase by increasing Workshop Potential, which I told you to do in section III. You did it, didn't you?

IVb. Surprise Events

Surprise Events will be triggered randomly when you finish Entrusted Events. However, there will be curfew from 22:00 to 6:00 everyday.

Surprise Events will give you huge amount of surprise Joy Fund, and may come along with a cute cutscene with your heirs. You can watch them again in Childhood Fun.

IVc. Flash Buff

The Flash Buff will be randomly triggered once a day and give you some... flash buff too. You can refresh the buff if it's not what you want and randomly get another one.

If you already increase the chances of daily boost as I said (You did, right?), it will increase daily chances to refresh Flash Buff as well.

The point of refreshing Flash Buff is not to get better buff, but to unlock this Quest actually.

V. Corporate with other Players

Yea I know, read until this point, I get you are very tired of this event and long guide already. Why the things about it still haven't ended right? But I swear this will be the last thing you need to know.

Va. Borrow heir from other player

When you reach Workshop Level 3, you can unlock the 3rd heir, who you will borrow from your friends or guildies. The heir you borrow will have limited time (2 or 3 days if I recall), after that they will return to their papa-mama (Or papa-papa, or mama-mama, I don't know man).

So the tips here is that don't borrow the heirs who have high stats until you unlock the last level of Entrusted Events. The highest levels will give you best Joy Fund, and it will be even better with high stats buff. If you borrow the heir with high stats already, after their time ends, you won't be able to borrow again.

Also, notice their timer. If you see they will have 1 hour left before the return, don't assign a 2-hour task to them.

There is the Quest when you lend your heirs 3 times. You can use an alt to help yourself.

Vb. Order Invitation

You have many left over Dolls and Bells which you don't need? Don't worry if you have good friends who will send you their Order Invitation.

After helping them complete, you will share the Joy Fund rewards too.

NOTE: The MAXIMUM REWARD AMOUNT you can get is 12.5% ONLY. So DON'T complete the order more than that but give the chance to other players.

VI. AFK Materials Calculator Engine - Help you have a peaceful AFK

OK, so to get the high ranking, you will never want your child labors to stop working due to insufficient materials while you are sleeping or working right?

This "AFK Materials Calculator Engine" will resolve your issues. What you need to do is input how long you will be AFK (In minutes), the stats of each heir, and which courses you want to assign to them like this.

The engine will calculate how many materials you will need to prepare in advance so that they will work non-stop during that time.

If you assign Entrusted Events and they will run out of Dolls or Bells halfway, the engine will also warn you so that you can adjust your course.

VII. Tips and Tricks to get High ranking

1. All tables you need to know

The % that Joy Fund will increase and Task Duration will decrease corresponding to each level of Ink, Bravery, Grace, Joy heirs' stats.

2. What to do on 1st day of the event?

On 1st day of the event, the 1st thing you do is make Bravery Bells with everything you have. After 5 minutes, you will have 2 Bravery Bells. Then assign 1 heir to continue to make Bravery Bell, while the other one does "Basic Fight" event.

Go to Potentials Distribution, increase EXP, and decrease the price of Workshop.

Complete the daily quests and use all funds to buy "Random Material Packs". Now leave them for a while until the workshop level reaches Level 2.

After reaching Level 2, buy the Potentials packs in Joy Shop, go to Potentials Distribution, increase 1 more slot for each heir, and increase daily boost chances by 3.

Continue to buy materials and make Joy Bell and boost "Medium Leisure" 7 times.

Congrats! You have a great start!

3. What to buy in the Joy Shop?

If you see Potential Points, buy all.

If you see Optional Cloth and Toy Packs, buy all.

If you open Optional Cloth Packs, choose Joy and Grace, they are very rare. Ink is the easiest to get.

For the rest of the funds, buy all Random Material Pack. Why? Please read No.4

4. Don't hesitate to pour all Joy Fund to buy Random Material Packs

I know all the stuff in Might Items is very tempting, and pouring everything into that Random stuff seems crazy. But trust me, if you buy the might things now, you will cry later because you won't have enough materials to make more Joy Fund.

Just like if you have money and buy a house, you will only have a house. But if you use that money to invest and create more money, it will multiply hundreds of times. Wow I suddenly sound like a real investor hohoho.

But for real, use your Joy fund to invest and make more funds, don't buy the rewards too soon.

Trust me because I was the 2nd most abusive daddy last time and only started on day 2, by doing this hohohoho.

5. Unlock your Workshop to level 3 as fast as possible

In the first few days, your prioritized goal is reaching Workshop Level 3 as fast as possible. This will be a huge advantage as you will have 1 more labor to help you by borrowing heir from other players and opening more task slots.

6. Which Heir Potentials to prioritize?

For Heir Potentials, prioritize leveling up the Queues as soon as possible, this will help you have more slots to assign tasks.

For other stats (Ink, Bravery, Grace, Joy), eventually, you will need all 4 but in the beginning, prioritize Grace and Joy stats. If you look at the table in No.1, you will see the Level 4 Entrusted Events that give the most Joy Fund and EXP are "Advertise" and "Fun", and they both need Grace and Joy.

7. Which Workshop Potentials to prioritize?

For Workshop Potentials, prioritize increasing daily boost chances (See section "IV. Boost Chances, Surprise Events, Flash Buffs" for explanation).

You also should increase EXP earnings and decrease the price of materials (Cut the cost and increase the profit, they said).

8. Don't use Boost Chances early in the day

Don't boost too early in the day. If you estimate your Workshop Level and see that you can up to a higher level and unlock more advanced Entrusted Events in the evening, spend your day making bells and dolls and slowly level up. When you unlock higher events, which gives more Joy Fund and EXP, at night already, now time to boost and get rich fast hohohoho.

The Boost Chances will be reset every day. You will start with 5 chances/day and can increase by increasing Workshop Potential.

9. Refresh Flash Buff to complete the Quest

The point of refreshing Flash Buff is not to get a better buff, but to unlock this Quest actually.

10. Don't borrow heirs with high stats too early. Save the best for the last.

The heir you borrow will have limited time (2 or 3 days if I recall), after that, they will return to their papa-mama (Or papa-papa, or mama-mama, I don't know man).

So the tip here is that don't borrow the heirs who have high stats until you unlock the last level of Entrusted Events. 11. Note the timer of the 3rd heir

If you see they will have 1 hour left before the return, don't assign a 2-hour task to them. Ye I already went thru this pain. Assigned a 2-hour task to them and forgot to see their time, they left me and returned everything when the task was left with 5 minutes.

12. Use alt to help you complete quests

There is the Quest when you lend your heirs 3 times. You can use an alt to borrow your heirs 3 times and help yourself.

13. Don't complete all order invitation

The MAXIMUM REWARD AMOUNT you can get is 12.5% ONLY. So DON'T complete the order invitation more than that but give the chance to other players.

14. You can sell your unused Bells and Dolls

Ye maybe you don't know, but you can sell them directly in Joy Storage if you don't use them. Can do this on the last day to burn all the materials you have never touched.
