I. Story
Along the sea, many sea creatures are appearing often. Emperor Yuan Yi is very vexed about it. He tasked you to investigate and after the initial investigation, there appear to be clusters of an island in the middle of the sea. The residents on the island live in solitude away from the world. Generations after generations, they give offerings to the mystical beast. With the collected information, you were assigned as the special envoy to investigate the origin and put an end to it. Thus, the beginning of the desert tales...

II. Overview Gameplay

After the story introduction, you will be randomly assigned thru a lottery draw to one clan among the 3 ancient clans: Zhurong, Houtu, and Xuanming. After joining, you will obtain the exclusive spirit pet eggs of the clan. You can hatch it and receive the spirit pet and unlock 3 functions: Dedicate, Beast trial, and Runes will be activated simultaneously.
After hatching, you can earn 1 of the 3 Spirit Pet, seems it won't depend on which Clan you are.

You will be able to access the "Desert Tales" menu that will allow you to do several new daily quests during the event.

You will also unlock new Desert Explore and Desert Roam.


It will give you the gifts so that you can send to the Clan Chief and increasing Affection with them.

III. Phase 1 Prelude - How to capture Island
This phase is called Prelude in game and the goal is to capture as many islands as possible. It will end when all islands are captured or after 42 days.
IIIa. Capture conditions
During the event, you have to help your clan occupy more islands
You can only enter the islands that you satisfy the captured conditions.
The island must border your islands
Have enough number of the target island Quality
There are 4 island Qualities: Cryolite, Niello, Rosegold, and Jadeite
You can create team in clan and team leader/vice leader can set target to the island. The function of team is to distribute your people to different islands to occupy at the same time.

IIIb. Occupying and Escorting Insignia
Bonus time (Double reward): 10-11am, 6-7pm, 8-9pm
Curfew time (Earn less Insignia): 1-9am
After satisfying conditions, you can enter island to start escorting Insignia by talking with the NPC on islands. Each person will have 2 chances to escort a day so choose the right island to do it.

You can choose different star of Insignia, which has different points and level of difficulty too.

People from other clans can rob you using Taotie token to snatch your Insignia.

And different level of bandit will challenge you too. If you lose you will lose some Insignia.

IIIc. Defeating Island Guardians
After collecting all Insignia of an island, Island Guardian will appear.
Cryolite Island: Guardian shows up 1 hours after all Insignia are collected.
Niello Island: Guardian shows up at 11am, 7pm, 9pm everyday after all Insignia are collected.
Rosegold Island: Guardian shows up at 12pm, 7pm everyday after all Insignia are collected.
Jadeite Island: Guardian shows up at 7pm everyday after all Insignia are collected.
By defeating Island Guardian, you will enter Settlement Phase. The clan has more capture points will win the island.

IV. Phase 2 War - 5 phases of an Island
This phase will start after Phase 1 ends. It last 30 days or when the Division island capturing reaches 10 times.
During this phase, the "border rule" DOES APPLY.
There are 5 different stages of the Island: - Attack-Defense period: Happen when Defense Point > 0. At this period, you will try to reduce other clans' islands Defense Point or protect your own points. - Preparation period: When the Island's Defense Point reaches 0. Nobody can enter the islands at this phase until the Battle Period. - Battle period: The clans will start battling to try to occupy the islands. - Protection period: Just like in Market Battle, after you seize a stall, you will have truce time. During this Protection, other clans cannot attack you.
- War-free period: When the islands are under curfew time 1-9AM every day, during this time, other clans can't attack or occupy you. It's just to ensure you a peaceful sleep.

IVa. Attack/Defense Period
After you enter the island, you can:
- Defend your own islands: Increase Island's Defense Point by handing the Fire Wheel to your island. You can also choose to submit Fire Wheel to increase the Island's Blessing Point and make the damage of the island guards stronger to attackers instead.
You receive Fire Wheel after completing the daily Bounty Quests.
You can submit 150 Fire Wheel a day.

- Attack if it's other clans' island: Deduct Island's Defense Point by defeating the island guards and collecting the resource on the island.

The higher star the stronger guards are and the more points resource give. Cryolite Island is 1 star, Niello is 2 stars, Rosegold is 3 stars, and Jadeite is 4 stars.
When you carry more resources, you will increase the Exposure level which will give you higher chance to be attacked by the guards.
If you lose any battle, you will lose points and be thrown to respawn point.
Besides normal guards, find the Desert Token guys and fight him to earn extra 2500 Desert Token a day.
When you need to leave the scene, don't leave directly but find the "Welcome Envoy" guy to leave safely or you will lose 50% of resources.
You can reduce 1500 defense points a day by hitting guards and 1500 points by collecting resources. When you reach limit, even if you fight more, it won't impact anything.
When you enter an island, you will see a timer on the right side. It's the timer countdown until the Guard General appears. If Guard General appears on island, you will see a tiny green shield icon under the Defense Point bar. It means that the speed of decreasing Defense point of that island will be reduced 40% slower.
You also can click on the other symbols to check Blessing Points and Exposure Level of that island.

When the Guard General appears, find the NPC named "Guardian" and defeat them, then the "Defense Point decrease" debuff will be removed. The star of the Guard General is equal to the star of the island quality.

When the Island's Defense Point reaches zero, the island will enter the Preparation period, and then the Battle period. This is when each camp will compete for ownership of the island.
IVb. Preparation Period After the Island's Defense Point reaches zero, it will go to Preparation Period and no one can enter the island until when Battle Period starts.
The Cryolite Island and Niello Island will open at 12:00 and 19:30. While the Rosegold Island and Jadeite Island will reopen at 20:40. Every day you have 2 chances to participate in Battle. One is to attend the challenge of EITHER the Cryolite Island OR Niello Island. Another one is to participate in the challenge of EITHER the Rosegold Island OR Jadeite Island once a day, and the number of times will be reset at 0:00 every day. So don't think of hopping from one Jadeite island to another one in the same night.
IVc. Battle Period (To be updated) Before the war, the ownership of the island belongs to the defender, and other clans bordering the island are the attackers. - Defender: needs to protect the Island guardian Mythical beast from being killed during the battle, or heal the Island guardian Mythical beast to full health. - Attacker: needs to defeat the Island guardian Mythical beast and seize the island.

Battle Period Settlement
- You will get points for the damage or healing to the Island guardian Mythical beast. - When your clan completes the Attack goal or the Defense goal, the ownership of the island will belong to your clan. - If all 3 clans can achieve the Attack goal or Defense goal, the ownership will be determined according to the total points of the clan. - If the total points are the same, the personal point of the no.1 player of the clan will decide the ownership.

IVd. Protection Period
Just like in Market Battle, after you seize a stall, you will have truce time. During this Protection, other clans cannot attack you.
Protection Duration varies with the quality of the island.
The more islands you occupy, the more defense points will be reduced. You can use authority to restore the Defense Points.
IVe. War-Free Period
When the islands are under curfew time 1-9AM every day, during this time, other clans can't attack or occupy you. It's just to ensure you a peaceful sleep.
V. Rewards
- There are good rewards for offering Mythical beasts and completing Beast trial - After the island battle, the participants of the winning clan can also get rewards from the faction leader based on contribution. - Ranking reward after the event ends
VI. Exclusive Spirit Pets
1. Bifang

Gift: 20-180
Personality: Grumpy
Skill: (The better the gift, the higher the quality and more skills owned by the pet)
Ancient Fury (exclusive): Add 1-2 layers of Scorch effects to 2 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, increasing DMG taken by enemies for 15 rounds (can be stacked out not be dispelled). Fire Burst is triggered when Scorch on a single unit reaches 3 layers. Such 3 layers will be consumed and the unit takes DMG at the end of this round.
Ablaze Sky (unlock at T2 Condense): Add 1-2 layers of Scorch effects to 3 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, with the chance of 2 layers increased, increasing DMG taken by enemies for 15 rounds( can be stacked but not be dispelled). Fire Burst is triggered when Scorch on a single unit reaches 3 layers, Such 3 layers will be consumed and the unit takes DMG at the end of this round.
Shiny Leap (unlock at T5 Condense): Add 1-2 layers of Scorch effects to 3 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, with the chance of 2 layers increased, increasing DMG taken by enemies for 15 rounds(can be stacked but not dispelled). Fire Burst is triggered when Scorch on a single unit reaches 3 layers. Such 3 layers will be consumed and the unit takes DMG at the end of this round.
Endless Flame (unlock at T9 Condense): Add 1-2 layers of Scorch effects to 2 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, increasing DMG taken by enemies for 15 rounds(can be stacked but not be dispelled). Fire Burst is triggered when Scorch on a single unit reaches 3 layers. Such 3 layers will be consumed, the unit takes DMG and Scorch on other enemies will be ignited at the end of this round.
Rip: Increase Pet ATK
Bold: Increase a certain percentage of Pet HP
Aggression: Increase a certain percentage of Pet ATK
Claws: Increase Pet DMG Buff
Swiftness: Increase AGI
Simple explanation:
Within the first 3 turns, applies 1-2 layers of skill effect to 2 random enemies, increasing damage taken from enemies. Can be stacked, cannot be dispelled, lasts 15 turns.
When stacked 3 times on one person, 'Fire Burst' will be activated, inflicts constant damage to the enemy at the end of the turn, and resets the primary skill effect.
2. Yinglong

Gift: 20-180
Personality: Naughty
Skill: (The better the gift, the higher the quality and more skills owned by the pet)
Choppy Waves(exclusive): Add Dragon Lurk effects to 3 allies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing DMG taken each round for 15 rounds. (Cannot be stacked)
Boundless White(unlock at T2 Condense): Add Dragon Luck effects to 3 allies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing DMG taken each round for 15 rounds (can not be stacked). Add Aqua Shield to 2 allies, absorbing certain DMG when the DMG taken is beyond the limits. Shield disappears after taking effect.
Void Abyss(unlock at T5 Condense): Add Dragon Lurk effects to 3 allies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing DMG taken each round for 15 rounds (can not be stacked). Add Aqua Shield to 3 allies, absorbing certain DMG when the DMG taken is beyond the limits. Shield disappears after taking effect twice.
Churning Waves(unlock at T9 Condense): Add Dragon Lurk effects to 3 allies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing DMG taken each round for 15 rounds (cannot be stacked). Add Aqua Shield to 3 allies, absorbing certain DMG when the DMG taken is beyond the limits. Shield disappears after taking effect twice. Aqua Shield can reflect debuffs (like Freeze, Stun, Daze, and Confuse) and there is a chance to reflect once again. (Valid once during the shield duration)
Hide: Increase Pet DEF
Bold: Increase a certain percentage of Pet HP
Tear: Increase a certain percentage of Pet BEF
Lick Wound: Increase Pet DMG RES
Swiftness: Increase AGI
Simple explanation: Within the first 3 turns, applies primary skill effect to 3 random allies and reduces damage taken every round. Cannot be stacked, lasts 15 turns. It adds shield to 2-3 allies and at last level of condense, shield will even reflect debuff. 3. Diting

Gift: 20-180
Personality: Brave
Skill: (The better the gift, the higher the quality and more skills owned by the pet)
Diting Roar(exclusive): Add Diting’s Roar effects to 2 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing HP cap for 15 rounds. (Can not be stacked or dispelled)
Tunder Rage(unlock at T2 Condense): Add Diting’s Roar effects to 3 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing HP cap for 15 rounds (can not be stacked or dispelled). Recover Rage for the caster.
Howling Gale(unlock at T5 Condense): Add Diting’s Roar effects to 3 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing HP cap for 15 rounds (can not be stacked or dispelled). Recover Rage for the caster, and steal Rage from 2 enemies, which is evenly distributed to 2 allies.
Furious Roar(unlock at T9 Condense): Add Diting’s Roar effects to 3 enemies at the beginning of the first 3 rounds, decreasing HP cap for 15 rounds (can not be stacked or dispelled). Recover Rage for the caster, and steal Rage from 2 enemies, which is evenly distributed to 2 allies. When defeated, increase Rage for one ally.
Hide: Increase Pet DEF
Bold: Increase a certain percentage of Pet HP
Tear: Increase a certain percentage of Pet BEF
Lick Wound: Increase Pet DMG RES
Swiftness: Increase AGI
Simple explanation:
Within the first 3 turns, applies primary skill effect to 2-3 random enemies and reduce the upper limit of their HP. Cannot be stacked, cannot be dispelled, lasts 15 turns. Recover rage for the one who carries it, steal Rage from enemies and distribute to allies.
