No. We are not gonna talk about this beer.

Head of a dragon, antlers of a deer, ears of a dog, forehead of a camel, nose of a lion, body of a horse, legs of a giraffe, tail of a bull, eyes with thick eyelashes, and manes that always flow upward, that's the description of Kylin. While dragons in China are also most commonly depicted as golden, Kylin may be of any color or even various colors and in "Fate of The Empress", they are always in black. Opposite to its appearance, it is said that Kylin is a benevolent beast, which cherishes humanity, walks in a prudent manner, and don’t tramp on any creature alive, even the grass, so it is regarded as the symbol of virtue. Kylin has a horn but it never harms anyone so the horn is represented wisdom. In the common saying, the outlook of Kylin is: Ky is male and Lin is female.

Kylin, or Qilin is not only one of the most expensive rides in Fate of The Empress but also appears in other events like Guild Coliseum. In traditional culture, it is one of the Four Holy Beasts (Dragon, Kylin, Phoenix, Torquoise) in China and the Sinophere countries (Kirin in Japan, Gilin in Korea and Kỳ lân in Vietnam).

In China, for the common, Kylin is the king of supernal beasts that send the son. It is said that the great Sage Confucius, founder of Confucianism, is sent by Kylin. Before Confucius was born, a Kylin came to the court of his family, telling the noble book. The noble book recorded the fate of the great sage, saying that he was the son of prince but not born in the right timing. This is famous story of “Kylin Tells the Noble Book”. Confucius was called “Kylin Child” after his birth. In the folk arts, a child riding on a Kylin and standing in the clouds means “Kylin Sends the Son”. This child often holds a lotus in his hand, which refers to bear sons in succession.

In Japan, there are 2 legendary beasts that have appearance description that sounds like China's Kylin: Kirin and Sinyou. Kirin is a timid creature while Sinyou is the powerful one that plays a role of a judge and is highly symbolic of justice. It is said that Sinyou has the power to know if a person is lying or know if they are guilty with a glance. If a person told a falsehood in its presence, it would leap forward and impale the perjurer through the heart with its horn.

In Korea, Gilin is a mythological chimeric beast that was reputedly ridden by King Dongmyeong of Goguryeo (Ancient Korea) in the 1st century BC, who estabished this country. Nowaday, the name Kiringul (means "Kirin's Grotto") is a cave in North Korea which is said is the home of Kylin.

In Vietnam's ancient dynasties, if the Dragon represented the Emperor, the Phoenix represented the Empress, then Kylin is the Crown Prince. Another form of Kylin in this country's culture is Longma where Long means dragon and Ma means horse, due to the similarity in appearance of the two beasts.

Competitions are hold between Kylin Dance Academy, where kids learn to dance at as early as 5 years old, to keep the tradition.
